The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Deputy Unit suit up with Santa for the holidays through our local “Santa Cop” project.  It is our way of reaching out to the youth in our community who, due to various circumstances, need our assistance and the support of other community stakeholders.   We team up with other DeKalb County law enforcement agencies, organizations, and businesses to provide gifts for less fortunate children and families who otherwise would go without.  We work with local schools to identify children in need who are subsequently paired with law enforcement officers to shop for holiday gifts.
